I am a topper and so are you!!

“Damn! I missed 1 mark to score a century” and”Yeah! I passed” are perhaps the two most frequently used sentences by the youngsters and this fundamentally defines a student today. On One end, there is immense  amount of hard work and dedication put in to achieve the desired target and contradictory on the other end, there is a life filled with fun, joy ,parties and of course the well known LAST MINUTE STUDY.

Now why are scores so important? Is it because we live in a country where people are judged based on their scores only because it would fetch them a good job in an MNC and they would eventually have a better life? Or is it because scores determine ones level of dedication? Or is it because we are carrying out an age-old legacy of having pride for scoring better? If all these were an answer, then what about them who fail or just manage to pass in the borderline? Does this mean that they are not dedicated enough? Doesn't want a happy life? Care less about themselves?!!!! These are thought provoking questions for which we don’t care to find an answer and continue to judge people based on their scores..

Groupism  is a word which has not made its way into the dictionary yet ,but each one of us begin our college life with groupism and then again, grouping is based on scores principally.

I believe that each student has a dream and the person who scores less might have a dream completely irrelevant to the subject or may be there know the practical application rather than the useless method of mugging up the theories. My conclusion is that we should start a revolution where a person is never judged on the basis of marks.

India will grow when students of different levels and variations of thinking sit on the table and discuss the changes they can make in the world rather than discuss about pointless marks.
