Coorg-Day 1: discovering myself

“Ever lived 3 different lives in one day??”

A long walk around the forest coupled with mesmerizing water movement sound in nisargadhama got me more in love with the nature.

The silent and peaceful “tibetian temple” made me realize few things.

I never knew Buddha was a son of a king and queen. This is where I derived that, “no matter where you come from or how you are bought up, all that matters in the end is the impact you made in the world”.
The little kid who jumped around beaming smiles at everyone around but remained in standing position only when someone pulled out a camera to capture him epitomized “there is a little part of everyone that never grows”.

The beauty of this place was that amidst all the fun, teasing and jumping around, each person remained silent at different times and really felt from the bottom of their hearts that peace is indeed beautiful.

The journey took a real kick start in the river rafting. Being someone who is careful all the time and takes precautions for every step, I dint even want to get into the river even though I knew swimming (growing really does make you over think!!). But there was something (I call it the magic of water) had a different role to play. I got into water for 3 reasons

Firstly, because all my friends got into water (friends realllllly do influence your decisions)

Secondly, because they provided each one with a life jacket which would keep anyone floating at any instant in water.

Thirdly, because I knew there were people around whom I could count on and would hold me tight the minute something didn’t go right. This is the major reason why I got into water!!

River rafting showed me how different person I can be if I choose to be. With 7 people surrounding me, I sat right in between and dint take the paddling job as fear had taken over me initially. The movement of the raft and the childhood memories of playing in water got me so excited that I led up to do the paddling to outdo the other rafting team(ah! Never knew competing in waters could be so much fun). The unsynchronized yet fun paddling, bending completely backwards in order to avoid tree branches, multiple 360 degree movement of the raft was completely enthrilling. No longer had we reached the shore, the trainer pushed one of my friends into the water and as a support my friend held me and I fell down too and each person was in the water in less than a minute. I swam like never before. I got so much confidence that I pulled out other friends too and ensured they have fun and are safe too. What I liked was how my friends ensured not only their close friends were safe, but the whole class of ISE was safe (they say, people who grow yet still young in actions are the best. But what I feel is that people who are like kids all the time with a tint of concern and matured behavior when required are the best). River rafting was something I liked the most in the entire trip

The excitement and heartfelt laughter filled the air. There are a million pleasurable things to describe the river rafting in nisargadhama, but to sum it all, “each person became a kid once again” and this is the part I liked the most.

“Ever lived 3 different lives in one day??”- Live it! It’s incredible.
